First-year starter Kyle McClellan became the National League's first six-game winner and backup catcher Gerald Laird made his 10th start of the season count with a two-run double as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Houston Astros 4-2 on Thursday for a two-game sweep. Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman have minor injuries and are being held out of the St. Louis Cardinals' lineup for the finale of a four-game homestand against the Houston Astros. Both sluggers are out of the lineup on Thursday as a result and both are considered day-to-day. Analysis: Change your lineus as both guys will be on the bench. So far the team is saying both should be back in a day or two so lets go with that for now and hope it doesnt linger.
