The president's announcement to the nation that Osama bin Laden has been killed instantly became iconic footage. President Barack Obama faces new trouble among voters in New Hampshire, according to a new WMUR-Granite State poll. His approval rating is down to 44 percent in the latest survey, released Thursday. 52 percent disapproved. A rating below 46 percent... As politicians gear up for another big stalemate in Washington, get ready for their approval numbers to keep going down President Barack Obama's weekly approval rating remained at its all-time low for the second straight week, according to the Gallup poll. President Barack Obama's approval rating remained at an all-time low among Hispanic Americans last week, according to the Gallup poll. The White House must draw the right conclusions from recent dismal polls. President Obama's popularity is at its lowest point since taking office. A Gallup poll has him at a 41 percent approval rating.... According to Gallup, President Obama's approval is at 43 percent, near his all-time low. But looking at nine of Obama's predecessors, their average approval rating was 52 percent at this point in their first terms. Wash Post-ABC News poll: High gas prices hit Obama's approval rating. And: More Americans disapprove of his handling of Afghan war than support it. Conducted Apr. 14-17, error margin 3.5 points. Rising gas prices are driving up the cost of living, the cost of food and the cost of clothing -- and they are driving down President Obama's approval rating, says an ABC News-Washington Post poll. Soaring gasoline prices are biting into household incomes and nibbling at Americans' fuel consumption — and support for President Obama, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll. Rising gas prices are driving up the cost of living the cost of food, and the cost of clothing -- and they are driving down President Obama's approval rating, says an ABC News-Washington Post poll ITT Educational Services Inc.'s quarterly earnings of $2.91 per share outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.53, and surged 18.3% from $2.46 per share earned in the year-ago quarter. Conservatives have claimed for a long time that Rush Limbaugh isn't a racist, that this image of the conservative thought leader is an invention of the so- called "liberal media." This list exposes that for the lie that it is. It is a selection of Limbaugh comments, largely from the last 5-6 years (Limbaugh has been [...] President Obama's approval rating is sinking again and the primary reason why appears to be perceptions of the U.S. economy. 44 percent of Americans, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, think the country is headed in the wrong direction. That's the highest percentage since March 2009, when the Great Recession was near its absolute nadir. I wasn't surprised to see Obama's approval numbers go down in today's WashPost-ABC poll. I read all the polls, and I can see that he's gone from what one might plausibly have called 51% in January to the mid-40s now. That's a bad drop-off. Here are the terms in which to think of this: set against his 2008 vote. Obama got 53% of the vote. If he's at 50% in a poll, he has lost 5%, or a little more, of his 2008 vote. If he's at 47% or 48%, he's lost 10% of his 2008 vote. If he's at 44-45%, even though he's only lost eight raw points from his 2008 vote, he's lost about 15% of his 2008 votes. Capisce? That would be how the White House thinks of it. And 15% is a lot of vote to lose, and to make up. The drop-off doesn't surprise me. The degree of sourness of mood about the economy does surprise me a little. From the WP story: > Driving the downward movement in Obama's standing are renewed concerns about the economy and fresh worry about rising prices, particularly for gasoline. Despite signs of economic ... After voters reacted drastically in the last three national contests, odds are against another major shift in the next one -- unless volatility is the new norm
