The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the next title in Nintendo's critically acclaimed Zelda series, will come out in time for the holiday season, Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto said. The Legend of Zelda series has usually been a very safe bet for Nintendo and regularly brings the company a lot of cash. Most titles in the series have achieved a score of 90 or higher on review aggregator site Metacritic, and the games usually set the bar for adventure games on home gaming consoles. A lot of the tropes originally introduced in the Legend of Zelda series are present in other games like Okami and Darksiders. Miyamoto made the comments at Nintendo's press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, Calif. today. The release is in conjunction with the series' 25th anniversary, commemorating the release of the original Legend of Zelda game for the Nintendo. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will be available on the Nintendo 3DS' eShop as part of the Legend of Zelda's 25th anniversary.
