The Red Sox placed Dennys Reyes on the restricted list, according to Matt Eddy of Baseball America. But plenty of players are in camp, and starter Ryan Dempster is encouraged by the early signs of togetherness. "It's easy to go out there and have fun and have goo clubhouse guys when everything's going well," Dempster said. "But when times are tough, you've got to lean on those guys and pull for each other. We had a lot of fun last year, and especially towards the end of the year. "It's been a great off-season already. Everybody is working hard. We went on a hike up Camelback Mountain and we had 25 guys show up. A lot of those guys are minor league guys, but whoever was down here all showed up and I think that says a lot about everybody." The hike up the local mountain occurred a couple weeks ago. Dempster has done the hike annually, but said only 2-3 people were involved in the past. "We had two van-fulls (of players this time)," he said. "It ... The Boston Red Sox have agreed to a minor league contract with left-handed reliever Dennys Reyes. Earlier in the off-season, the Phillies found their replacement for J.C. Romero, who had spent four seasons as the team's primary lefthander out of the bullpen. But once their deal with Dennys Reyes fell through, they decided their next best option was, well, Romero. At the winter meetings last week, multiple sources confirmed that the Phillies had reached agreement with lefthander Dennys Reyes on a 1-year contract plus an option that guaranteed the veteran reliever $1.25 million.
